Behavioral Health Consultant

Behavioral Health Consultant - Newport, Oregon

The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) position is a behavioral health provider who operates in a
consultative role within the Lincoln Community Health Center (primary care) and works to support a
smooth interface between primary care and specialty services. The employee provides
recommendations regarding behavioral interventions to the referring primary care clinician and
conducts brief interventions with referred patients on behalf of the referring clinician.

A Master’s degree and licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Oregon is required. Experience postlicensure
in behavioral health counseling and brief short-term therapy strategies is also required.

Behavioral Health Consultant

Mosaic Medical is looking for a Behavioral Health Consultant to join our non-profit community health center system with primary care clinics in Prineville, Bend, Madras and Redmond. We currently have two openings, one for a pediatric team in Bend and one for family practice in Madras.

This position provides integrated behavioral healthcare in a person-centered primary care home and acts as an extension of the physician providing consultation on mental health and addiction, brief therapy intervention, referral and coordination of care, and psycho-education. This position requires LCSW, LPC, LMFT or PhD/PsyD licensure.

Education

This will be accomplished through effective collaboration with community partners in the fields of geriatrics, disability, mental health, and addiction services.

Full-time, $3,672.41 - $4,276.54 per month. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of four years of experience in mental health or aging/disabilities with emphasis on geriatric/older adult care.
