This conference will provide participants with the latest research, prevention strategies, and best practices regarding the prevention and health promotion across disciplines.
The goals for this conference are:
- Highlight Oregon and the Pacific Northwest\‘s outstanding research and data.
- Increase knowledge on current research and provide evidence-based strategies and tools that will assist communities in strengthening new and existing programs that decrease adverse health effects.
- Expand collaboration among partners across disciplines.
This Conference is a collaboration between partners throughout the state of Oregon. These Partners include the University of Oregon Substance Abuse Prevention Program, Oregon Department of Human Services, Oregon National Guard and Lane County Health and Human Services.
The Substance Abuse Prevention Program at the University of Oregon is a NAADAC approved academic education provider. Attendees have the opportunity to earn 18-27 continuing education units, CEUs, depending on which portions of the conference an individual attends. CEUs are accepted by the Addiction Counselor Certification Board of Oregon (ACCBO), National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES).
